After many emails and comments wanting the “old blue” to come back, we finally have an “all new big blue”. Our site has once again transformed. Based on your feedback, the site has made a few changes to include the blue background, comment counter and numbered comments. In a few short weeks, we will be celebrating our one year anniversary. It’s hard to believe that since our first real post on July 4^th, 2008, we have continued to grow and gain readership, initiate many neighborhood discussion (often colorful ) and hopefully solved a few of the neighborhoods’ problems and issues.  

As we have grown, our current blog site has had many issues keeping up with the traffic and more importantly offering any level of customer service. As a result, we have met with several local website developers and have selected a local company to build our own blog. We are now preparing to move our site to a new website. Stay tuned for the launch of our new site…Coming July 2009.

While we transition the site, I do ask for patience as we will be learning a new program and have an entirely new way of posting. Hopefully, it will be a smooth transition for all.

The new site will have many more features including better search functionality, categories, advertising opportunities and so much more. To make the change as comfortable and smooth as possible, they have pulled 100% of our prior post over the past year and are not putting the final touches to the site. Once the new site is operational, the formal announcement and URL will be posted. Until then… stay tuned!

It’s not to late to say NO to “visual pollution”, etc. Hearing is tonight, Tuesday. Even if you plan to attend, go ahead use the link just in case.

If Brighthouse wants a “visual deterrent”, then plant some Bougainvillea, holly, or Crown of Thorns around the fence. (Comment this)

The best way to know what is going on is become involved.  For starters, you can  attend a meeting! Learn what your association is doing, what committee’s and volunteer opportunities are available, or just speak out and share you opinion and ideas. Below are meeting announcements as listed on each associations website. 
 

SOUTH SEMINOLE HEIGHTS

General Membership Meetings are held quarterly on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October and are held at The Common Ground Church, located at 4207 N. Boulevard, corner of W. Chelsea St. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM. Meetings are open to every resident of South Seminole Heights and their guests.
Board of Directors Meetings are held monthly (except December) on the 4th Tuesday at the Metropolitan Community Church, located at 408 E. Cayuga St, corner of Central Ave. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM Any active member is welcome to attend Board of Director Meetings.

SOUTHEAST SEMINOLE HEIGHTS
