Hooker got Hooked!

It’s a little disheartening to see that the “girls” aren’t just working

Nebraska Ave.

However, this makes me feel better. TPD arrested Timothy Wise at 13th and Hillsborough (1307 Hillsborough to be exact). Hopefully, this He/She will seek better employment. Just so you watch out for his/her repeat offenses, here is their photo.

According to TPD, these “Creatures of the night” have a very intricate network and have a very sophisticated online system. They work each city in groups. Orlando, Tampa, Miami , Jax, etc. As the “girls” are racking up the arrests and about to do jail time, they are then moved to a different city to start all over again.

So, I figure they do not know how sophisticated and organized we can be. We can organize and beat them at their own game. We can circulate their information, photos, etc out en mass to hopefully send them packing much sooner than planned. (Don’t worry; it is legal to post their picture, etc as it is all public record).

If you have any other additional ideas on how we can beat the ho’s (figuratively speaking) Please, Sound off!

Do you tip at McDonalds?

Yesterday, I met a group of friends at our beautiful Starbucks. Since I made them come to my neighborhood, I had decided to treat. After ordering 3 drinks with a tab totaling $10.82 I paid the friendly barrista. Of course, all over the counter was tip boxes. I thought to myself, Wow, for 3 drinks I paid almost 11 dollars, what do you tip. All they did was fix a drink. I wonder if all tip here. Honestly, the McDonald’s staff does 10 times the work, gives me much more for the money, and I never recall them asking, or expecting, a tip. Why is it expected at Starbucks? At other places, such as McDonalds, they make less money, work harder, and probably needed more and not given their share? Just my observation!

Are you doing your part?

Recently, some friends had stopped by for a surprise visit. Of course, this is when I am looking my best. Bandana on, dirt from head to toe, and yard tools strewn all over the yard. As they pulled up to the front steps, I was at the neighbors house edging their drive. Of course after the small talk regarding my fashion choices, I was asked “What are you doing, did you take a second job?”
It got me thinking, what was I doing. For years, I have cared for their yard. With no compensation, barely a thank you. As I was standing there wondering, I realized. I was doing my small part to make my neighborhood better. It’s what neighbors do. As they are elderly and very feeble, I have always known it was something they can’t do. My tools are there, it takes 15 minutes of my time, and I can only hope my neighbors do it for me as I will have needs.
What are you doing to make your neighborhood better. I see many neighbors doing their part, such as the lady that walks her dog with a garbage sack picking up litter. Sound off! Let’s all make one small thing to make a difference.
