Diversity for Tomorrow.

For years,
Seminole Heights residents have always been proud of the diverse makeup of our neighborhoods. It has always been one of the most attractive features of our neighborhood. It is one of the few areas were people from all ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, genders and religion can live together, usually in harmony.

Now this election season, it appears as if our future President has realized that diversity is appealing not only to inner city neighborhoods, but to all Americans. For the first time in American history, both major tickets will feature a diverse candidate on their party’s ticket for the country’s highest office.

This truly is the best thing about SH. Diversity is what makes us unique to almost every area of town.

While John and Sarah “palin” comparison, it is great to see diversity play a role in national politics. At last, America has finally gotten sick of the status quo!

Our diversity is what makes Seminole Heights such a great place to live. In the years I have lived here, I have see our demographics change drastically. From a neighborhood that was once predominantly African American to the Gay/Lesbian Income to the young married couples to the older near retirees. Now we have all living together in almost harmony. We have to work hard to preserve this diverse make-up.
