Arrests Made in SH Publix Robbery! (IT WAS AN EMPLOYEE!)

While it does not make the crime any better, we can rest a bit easier knowing that this was not some random robbery. This is great TPD work to solve the case so quickly.

TAMPA — A 19-year-old Tampa man was arrested early this morning in conjunction with the armed robbery of a Nebraska Avenue Publix last week.

Police said Terrell D. Limehouse, of 811 E Louisiana (pictured), who works at the Publix at 6001 N Nebraska Ave., was seated on the counter of the service desk when two masked men took more than $2,000 from an office at the grocery about 10 p.m. Based on phone calls, text messages and a video of the robbery, police said Limehouse helped plan the heist.

Limehouse was charged with armed robbery and taken to the Hillsborough County Jail, where he remains without bail.

Fry his a*s. For these crimes that create such fear in neighbors and neighborhoods they should be twice as harsh. The Publix robbery was the final straw for one of my neighbors. She listed her house and has signed lease for an apartment out of the area. She has her house for sale or rent. Too sad.

Things are only going to get worse.
If you think things are bad east of Nebraska, it’s really scary east of 22nd st. that’s only a short bike ride for a couple of punks.(one in the seat, one on the handlebars.) Your friend made a good decision.

does she feel she will avoid crime by moving to an apartment. The gated communities of New Tampa also have crime…..it’s no longer the 50’s and Ozzie and Harriet are now divorced and the nuclear family has been blown to pieces…..

I feel much safer here in SH than I ever felt in my last few apartments in supposedly “good” neighborhoods.

Hopefully #2, your friend found a complex better than most.

Yeah, when the going gets tough, MOVE.

Read the papers, folks, crime happens EVERYWHERE. And #2, you are right, things are going to get worse - ditto - EVERYWHERE. You people who think nothing bad happens in the burbs (or only bad things happen in the urban corridor) have your heads buried in the sand. Is it really easier to move than to get involved in your community?

#1, be sure to tell you neighbor “ta-ta” from all of us, and good luck with apartment life. Go to any apartment rental website and read comments posted by tenants. Even in the most “pristine” of areas, apartment dwellers get victimized.

Oh my, where will they move next?

What a dirt bag. Hope they keep him in jail until he coughs up the names of his accomplices. (and keep him in jail!) And jail isn’t enough. They should be required to pay restitution to all those employees who must be traumatized by what they went thru. Jerk.
