What’s on Your Wish List?
As we bring 2008 to a close and welcome the New Year, we have high hopes that 2009 brings many new things. As a neighborhood that is in a state of constant transition, we welcome new things. During this season of “wishing”, what would be on your list for our neighborhood?
For me, I am still holding out hope that our city leaders will follow through with their promise of more sidewalks. If we still have our vision to fulfill our dreams of a true “old fashioned” neighborhood, one that offers “walkable” options, we have to push for the Mayor to hold true to her word. Have you noticed how many people have commented that they plan to walk to the new Sangria’s? However, if you drive around a 5-10 block radius of Sangria’s, you will notice one important feature missing—Sidewalks!
