TPD has Success in SESH!

From the SESHCA Email Group:

My neighbors, Kelly and Aaron, informed me this morning that additional arrest (I believe four in total) were made yesterday regarding the burglaries in our area.  Apparently the gentlemen confessed to many of the burglaries including Kelly and Aaron’s.  I also understand that TPD located the very expensive camera equipment stolen out of Kelly and Aaron’s house.  TPD did and amazing job!  And thank goodness for awesome neighbors like Bryant who keep and eye out for his neighbors. And last, thanks again to Officer Degagne and Bill Metler. Sweet.

OMG this makes me sick. My wife is on the email group for them as well and she woke up to an email from Misses TPD saying we should all write letters to the chiefs since TPD went above and beyond. WTF, THEY DID THEIR FREAKING JOBS! I guess if I go to the plant each day and do my job I should be commended? Are you kidding me. Maybe if we say nice job now get back to work we would see some real change. Darren

woke up to this email. Not sure what was done that was above and beyond. Can someone explain this? They made one arrests out of the many, many burglaries we have had recently.

While many TPD officers are members of this email group, and the thank you’s are wonderful and should keep coming when you feel like saying it…..don’t forget that a letter to the Chief or Assistant Chief’s with thanks and a request that it be put in an officer’s file, is a good thing when something above and beyond was done by someone!

As someone who was burlgarized, I have to say I have the opposite opinion. When I called the nonemergency number the dispatch did not want to send a unit. Once I insisted, they finally came out. They did not want to print. After not letting up, they finally did. I have yet to hear if they got a print off the door or glass. They have been nothing short of rude, hateful and at times seem lazy. I have tried calling on numerous occassions and the lady is downright hateful. I have finally decided that they are not actively working on it. If it comes up great. If not, oh well.

#4, I am also a burlary victim and have had the same experience. When I call the Detective to see if the prints they lifted have been run, she is very rude, a real *B*. I no longer call for updates as I am tired of being treated so rudely.

First, Crime Watch works. Once the neighbors became aware of the burglaries in the neighborhood they stepped up to the plate and started being proactive. Calling in all suspicious activity; being aware of their neighbor’s comings and going; being aware of additional foot traffic on their street that is not normally there.

Second, the gentlemen that were arrested had a pattern to their criminal activity. They would knock on the neighbor’s doors and wait for someone to answer. If no one answered, they would case the house and figure out a point of entry. There were many robberies in our area attributed to these gentlemen, but luckily we have vigilant neighbors working with the police.

Third, we are the eyes and the ears for the police. They can not be everywhere. That is why we must call in all suspicious activity. This is why we must look after one another. This is why we are a community.

Lastly, everyone should get kudos. What in the world is the harm in that!

As for the rude people in dispatch, they should be held accountable too. Call their superiors, inform them of their activity, be proactive! You are a tax payer and you should be heard too!

If the operators are rude call Guidara. He’s in charge of communications now. If other people are rude, contact their Major…for SESH that’s Honeywell. If you don’t tell their bosses their bosses may not even know.Pass on both the good and the bad.
