The Tournament of Tacos

Each year the Creative Loafing holds their tournament-style food contest. Two years ago they challenged the pizzerias, last year they held the burger wars and this year we have Tacos! While the Bungalow bistro held their own pretty good in the burger war, I feel like the Taco Tourney can bring the prize to
Seminole Heights. As a connoisseur of Mexican food, nothing gets me more excited than good Mexican food. From the down and dirty to the fine Mexican cuisine, I love the spice of Mexico!

In the first round, our beloved El Taconazo (affectionately known as the “Taco Bus”) easily defeated their competition, California Tacos to Go. As we move into the “sweet 16” of Taco Champions, we now face off against Don Pancho Villa, 4008 Armenia Ave. If we can claim victory, the bus will advance to face off against either Sabor Latino or Mekerita Mexican Grill before the final face off for the Hillsborough County division. Once victorious, we will then go head-to-head against the Pinellas victor.

If you have not voted, now is the time to help bring a culinary trophy to Seminole Heights! Be sure to “Vote for the Bus!”  You can find the poll at:
