Know When Your Association and the Board Meets.
The best way to know what is going on is become involved. For starters, you can attend a meeting! Learn what your association is doing, what committee’s and volunteer opportunities are available, or just speak out and share you opinion and ideas. Below are meeting announcements as listed on each associations website.
SOUTH SEMINOLE HEIGHTS
General Membership Meetings are held quarterly on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October and are held at The Common Ground Church, located at 4207 N. Boulevard, corner of W. Chelsea St. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM. Meetings are open to every resident of South Seminole Heights and their guests.
Board of Directors Meetings are held monthly (except December) on the 4th Tuesday at the Metropolitan Community Church, located at 408 E. Cayuga St, corner of Central Ave. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM Any active member is welcome to attend Board of Director Meetings.
SOUTHEAST SEMINOLE HEIGHTS
Board of Directors Meetings first Monday each month
General Membership Meetings Third Tuesday in applicable months. (January, March, May, July, September, October)
OLD SEMINOLE HEIGHTS
Board of Directors Meetings June 16th, July 15th, August 19th
General Membership Meetings July 28th Eating Meeting,

OSHNA’s board meets the third Tuesday of every month at SHIP at 5023 N. Florida Avenue at 6:30 PM.
OSHN’s General Membership meetings are the 4th Tuesday of January, April, July, and October at the Seminole Heights united Methodist Church at the corner of Hanna and Central at 7 PM.

I would reframe from going to the board meetings as the board takes turns each month ripping a member apart or expelling them from the group. It ain’t pretty! The general membership meetings are somewhat civil just to damn boring for me.
So who got kicked out this time?
Phewww, thankfully no one this month but beware, if a member is caught “stealing” you are O-U-T ! That is now precedence with no due process. They say you stole and you are Poof – Gone.
>This time, the Anger Management moment came from the spouse of the person who lost their cool at the previoius board mtg.

First agenda item with “EB Meeting” got swept out of the way before anyone had a chance to look over the agenda.. so no one was able to question what, why, & what was the outcome. poof. up-down-motioned-2nd-Done.. NEXT. My guess? The unannounced board meeting that was rumored to have been at Jeff’s on 4 June.

Jeff tried to limit inquiry from those who attended.
No other board president has ever before tried to shut-up or limit inquiries from those whom they are accountable to. Some members were glared at prior to being recognized. At one point, it was so glaringly obvious that Jeff was going to ignore a raised hand, that a trustee had to recognize the individual.
Once the agenda items were done, it seemed that the end of the meeting was a wrap up.Get out. Maybe to avoid revisiting the first item on the agenda??
However, that is when the Crime Watch signs for Mobil Patrol was brought up.
That’s when someone who had been making snide facials thoughout the meeting went way overboard in losing their cool.
The lashing was totally unjustified..
If it had been directed at me - Sweetie, A written apology would be a good start.
This is the MEMBERSHIPS’ association. Not a Monarchy w/Jesters
This is the Memberships’ money. Not a slush fund to wield power with.
This is the Membership that is getting hurt when the Board lashes out.
